The Wayfarer – now available!

It’s been a long time coming, but my latest book, The Wayfarer, is now available!

In May 2021, Andy Kind set off from Edale in an attempt to walk the Pennine Way, something he had tried – and failed – to do twice before. From Derbyshire to Scotland, struggling against the weather and terrain and hindered both by himself and others, we follow his journey towards what he hopes will not just be an ending, but a redemption.

A cross between Bill Bryson and Jerome K. Jerome, with subtle hints of Evelyn Waugh, The Wayfarer is a laugh-out-loud memoir that deals with the topics of grief, reconciliation and mental health, and asks the question:
What do you do when hope falls off a cliff? The answer:

KEEP MOVING FORWARD, ONE FOOT IN FRONT OF THE OTHER, ONE STEP AT A TIME.

Preaching Workshops – Book now!

To all my speaker friends… this is a great opportunity to sharpen your skills. An online course by comedian/preacher Andy Kind not to be missed!

Following the storming success of the first round of preaching workshops, Andy is now booking in some more, and it would be great to see you there!

Andy runs workshops on the art of preaching, both in-person and over Zoom, using his two decades in the world of comedy to ferry across many of the transferable skills found there.

New book!

Greetings! It’s been a long time. Like lots of people within the creative world, I’ve been eating lentils from a drain and making ends meet as a plague doctor with one of those beak noses.

However, I appear to be back in the game, and to celebrate that fact I have released a new book – which you can find appropriately nestled within the ‘Shop’ page. The plan from hereon, paved as it is with good intentions, is to repopulate this page and start directing people towards the events and projects I’m now working on.

I can’t even begin to describe the last few years in plain text, but I’ve been writing a lot of fiction and perhaps that’s the best way for the truth to come out. So stay tuned for that.

New Website!

The news is good – I have a new website!

Over the last few years my career trajectory has veered off in weird and wonderful directions. After some time in the creative wilderness, I’m back, refitted for purpose as a Promedian (preacher and comedian) and ready for this next stage of the adventure. We’ve gone down the retro disco look for the website, which I really like. I even have my own logo now – too jazzy?

Anyway, there we go. There’s some YouTube clips you can watch of me doing comedy and preaching, and there’s some social media pages to like and subscribe to. In 2020 there will be a new tour, a couple of new books, and maybe a new… well, let’s see.

For now, welcome…
